My big, 9 month Molly!

- I love how you shake your bum when you hear a song (especially Taylor Swift's "Shake it Off")
- I love how when you stretch out long and close your eyes, your chubby face gets all squished up
- I love your fast crawl
-  love how you laugh at your siblings
- I love how you eat everything and anything
- Daddy does not love the big mess you make when feeding yourself, but mommy loves that you can do it on your own!
- I love how big and independent you are, crawling around and playing on your own, but I miss the baby cuddles
- I love that you are still growing with no formula, just nursing.  You are my first baby to do this!

- You love your siblings, playing with the toys in the drawers in the TV room and being patted or rocked to sleep.  You also love your binky. You love when you hear your siblings laughing and having fun and you crawl over quickly to join in. Nothing gets you more excited than when you hear your siblings electric toothbrush turn on and you are constantly trying to grab it.

- You still do not love the gym daycare although you are getting used to strangers.

You are one loved 9 month old Miss Molly!  We are glad you are ours!

Molly - 8 months

This baby is so much fun.  Seriously, I love this big, squishy baby!!  I have joked with people that Molly is my biggest baby because I am all soft and squishy too (from not getting to workout, thanks to my gym's daycare policy) but now that I am nearing 9 months (when my other 3 babes were tiny and starving and I finally switched to formal) and this baby is happy, squishy and healthy....I'm thinking there is probably some truth to it.  Who knows?  But she is easy, happy and just so fun to snuggle.  She doesn't give away her smiles easily but is getting used to being around other people.  She crawls super fast, pulls up on everything (her favorite thing being her brother's lego table...and I have fished way too many legos out of that little mouth) and she loves to stand for a few seconds at a time on her own.  She does this laugh where she scrunches up her face and breaths in and out of her nose and when she does it I just want to eat her up.  She loves to eat everything and moved to table foods way earlier than an of my other babies.  She still is not sleeping through the night anymore but I love her too much to care.  She loves her siblings and they make her laugh all the time.
Molly Jane, you are the best!

Molly - 6 months

1 month, 2 months, 3 months
4 months, 5 months, 6 months

Molly is getting so big!  At 6 months she is sitting up very confidently, getting up on hands and knees (but most often getting into the plank position) and scooting on her belly where she wants to go.  She is kind of a somber baby...she doesn't give smiles easily.  But when she laughs it is BIG.  The kids were blowing bubbles on the back porch to her and she was going crazy....so we were too.
She has been afraid of people since very early on but I think we broke her of that after having grandmas and grandpa here for a while.  She is letting people hold her and being happy with them more and more.  She still is our babied baby and gets rocked to sleep.  She occasionally will sleep through the night but likes to see her mom once a night usually.  She is so soft and squishy, especially on her upper thighs.  I can't get enough of eating this girl!
When I make kissing noises to her she will make a noise back at me and she loves when you lay her on your lap and play peek a boo with her feet.
She tried some solid foods and liked it so much one night that she ate quite a bit....and threw it up all night long.  We don't do a lot of throwing up in our house so having a baby dry heaving was a new experience and very upsetting.  Since then she will eat maybe 3 bites of something and then she is done.  I'm not sure if that is related or not, but I know I'm scared to feed her still!  '
6 months is a huge milestone for us because it means she can FINALLY go to the daycare at the gym.  We haven't tried it yet because we have had guests but I'm hoping she takes to it well.  That also marks the end of the longest and hardest post partum, no exercise time that I have experienced!!  YEA!
Molly Jane is such a joy to have in our family and we just love her so much!

Molly - 5 months

Another month has come and gone!  My sweet winter baby has worn her first pair of shorts that show off her yummy thighs because spring has finally come.  It is wonderful.
Molly keeps growing.  She is still squishy but a little less cuddly.  She moves around the floor, rolling both ways and reaching for things that are far away.  She loves being on her tummy.  She also loves jumping in her little jumper, especially when I'm making dinner.  And her little feet and legs poking out of the bottom are about the cutest thing I have ever seen.  She babbles and spits.  She smiles at her family and is getting a little more friendly with strangers.  She will smile....but if I hand her over to them she still isn't quite sure about it.  Yesterday I had friends tell me they think she always looks like she has a "blue steel" look.  It is a very serious look.  She is a great baby and I love cuddling her and squishing her.  She loves peek a boo and she loves her siblings.  And we love her!

Happy 5 months Molly!

Molly - 4 months

My Molly girl is getting so big!  At her Dr appointment she impressed them with how advanced she was.  She already has her 2 bottom teeth, rolls from tummy to back and back to tummy and has severe stranger anxiety.  When I told them that she doesn't like being held by other people they were very surprised and said it was very early for that.  But I feel like she has been this way for at least a month!  She likes her Daddy and her siblings and she is very content to sit on her own at home.  But the second I try and hand her to someone, she starts to cry!  And the second she gets handed back to me she stops.  What a silly girl.  But she is my baby.  My last baby.  I still rock her to sleep....and with the others I was already sleep training them.  She has me wrapped around her finger.  And I'm happy.
She is happy.  She smiles and likes peek a boo.  She will sit and bounce in her bouncer for long periods of time and kick and laugh.  She loves to spit and talk at the same time.  And suck on her hands.  She still spits up all the time and Clara will loudly tell me about it when she sees it!  And I think Clara thinks its a little funny because occasionally she will spit a little and tell me she spit up.  She isn't sleeping through the night any more (except occasionally) but I love her too much to complain.  She sleeps in the car and out and about because she is a 4th child on the go.

Weight:  13 lb 8 oz (48%)
Height:  24" (58%)
Head: 15.75" (24%)

She is continuing to go down on the charts a bit but that is just what my babies do.  We aren't worried yet because she is just so happy but I'm sure we will be supplementing with formula soon.

The kids are on spring break so I asked Kate to try and take a picture of me and Molly.  Here is the best we got!

Molly - 3 months

Molly is now 3 months old.  Instead of sleeping through the night every single night she now sleeps through every once in a while.  Oh well, it was nice while it lasted!  She is getting more and more alert and interested in looking at a few toys.  She has started rolling a little bit from side to side when she is on her back and has already rolled over from belly to back.  She spent some time away from Mommy and Daddy with a friend while Mommy got to go to the gym and she cried almost the entire time I was gone....I think its too early for stranger danger but she definitely likes her parents best.  She eats quickly and is content when she is awake.  She patiently sits in her sibling's laps while they insist on holding her and she smiles really big almost every time someone pays attention to her.  She is soft and sweet and smells good and we just adore her.

Molly - 2 months

Molly turned 2 months on Valentine's Day!  She is such a good baby, we are feeling really blessed.  The biggest thing is she is sleeping through the night most nights (*mommy happy dance!*) and since none of my other kids did that until they were 9 months old, she is officially my favorite child.  It is amazing what a rested mama can do!  She has a strong neck and loves tummy time.  She smiles and coos and makes adorable faces.  Besides that, she is awesome at getting ignored.  What can I say, she is a 4th child!  I am amazed when its busy and she gets fed, sits in her bouncy chair nicely, fusses a little and then, when I swaddle her, she goes right to sleep.  She is an amazing baby.  We love you Molly Mo!

She weighed in at 11 lbs 9 oz at her Dr appt yesterday.  She had gone down in the charts a little but he wasn't concerned.  I am always a little worried about my milk supply because of my previous experience with babies so I'm making sure to keep it up by eating lots of Valentine sugar cookies.  Doctor's orders.

Molly - 1 month

This first month with Molly has flown by in a blur of Christmas, Grammie and Papa visiting, getting into a routine with 4 once they left, and not very much sleep.  And we wouldn't have it any other way.  She is now sleeping in her crib, although she requests frequent visits.  She loves to be held when sleeping, day or night.  She has smiled a few little smiles at her mommy and daddy.  And she is a trooper, as the youngest of 4 has to be, going to and from the kid's school and swim team.  We love you Molly!
