Happy Father's Day 2009!

Today I feel lucky to have a great husband who is a great Daddy to Kate and Sawyer. They get pretty Daddy deprived...especially during finals! It makes them even more excited when they finally get some Daddy time. He makes everything more fun. I love you Ryan!

I'm also grateful for a Father who has always been there for me and who is the best Grandpa a grandkid could ever ask for. Thanks for always making yummy breakfasts and for always ironing my shirts and for being there for me now! I love you Dad!

Yesterday I explained to Kate about Father's day and took her to target to pick out a card and a present. I wanted her to get one of those recordable voice cards because I thought it would be adorable....but she fell in love with a carebear card! You open it up and it says, "Most kids think their daddys are the best. But I know something they don't know! My daddy is the best! Happy Father's Day!" She got a really excited look on her face the first time she heard it and said, "It just said Father's Day!" Then she refused to let me look at any other ones!
When it came to picking out a present, I let her choose some candy. She chose jellybeans. Our target has a big bulk bin jelly belly area and I let her pick out the colors she wanted. She thought it was very fun.
When she woke up this morning, Ryan said she was saying, "Guess what today is!" but she couldn't remember what it was called. I told her it was Father's Day and she couldn't wait to give him her present. As Ryan was opening it he asked her if she knew what it was. "Jellybeans," she replied as he was still unwrapping. Way to ruin the surprise!
Kate sure loves her Daddy!

Happy Father's Day!

like father like son

I found a picture of Ryan and when I saw it I couldn't get over how much it looked like Sawyer!I tried to recreate it but I don't think the resemblance is as noticeable

I'm kind of digging this vintage feel on the pictures
