Our first harvest

The kids squealed in delight one morning when we went to water our garden and they found a red strawberry. They checked it every day until Ryan decided it was time to harvest. We all went out together, Sawyer did the honors of the actual picking, and then we took it inside, quartered it and all enjoyed the yumminess of our harvest!

I looked out the window and what did I see?

Popcorn popping on our...not apricot tree. But it still looks like popcorn!

We also planted a garden while mom was here and we are finally seeing some sprouts! We are so excited! It must be all the rain we have had since she left....over a week straight of rain. yuck.

We also planted 2 pots on either side of my door and I love them! Unfortunately they got a little battered by a big rainstorm we had yesterday so I lost a lot of petunias.

We are enjoying our yard so much! Ryan spent the morning on Saturday mowing and cleaning up some areas and he loves it. It is just fun to see your hard work pay off! Too bad we don't really have any neighbors and no one really drives my our house ever!
