Clara - 10 months
Clara at 10 months:
- only has 2 teeth on the bottom
- wears size 3 diapers
- eats everything. Seriously, everything that is put in front of her
- is still getting breastmilk but is being supplemented with some formula after a feeding. We make 4 oz bottles but she usually only drinks 1 or 2
- weighs 16 lb 7 oz. I know because I had to take her in for a weight check. She gained nicely since her last visit so she is doing just fine. I still left the Dr with a list of high calorie foods to feed her but they weren't worried.
- has chubby thighs and a big, soft belly
- has hair that is getting longer and looks red in the sunlight. I people have told me that about all my babies but she looks the reddest to me. We'll see what it looks like when it gets a little longer...in a few years (knowing my kids)
- still is not crawling on her hands and knees, but is getting really fast at her inch worming technique
- gets where she wants to go and into everything
- LOVES her brother and sister's sonicare. Basically you can't keep her out of their months when it is on. And she loves having a turn to get her teeth brushed
- makes car noises when driving toy cars on the floor
- doesn't really say or repeat any words yet
- still is usually waking up at least once in the night
- loves her baby dolls. She squeals when she sees one and gives it lots of hugs and kisses. She holds it out for us to kiss too.
- one night during our prayer at dinner we heard Kate giggling. After we said "amen" we looked over and Clara was proudly folding her arms just like the rest of the family. Now occasionally when I say, "Clara, time for prayer!" she'll fold them...but usually she is too preoccupied with something else.
- still loves being held and bounced by Kate
- has pulled up to standing on her own a few times but isn't very steady or cruising yet
We sure love our 10 month old Clara!
