Pirates and Mermaids
Today Kate woke up fully believing it was her birthday again. She ate breakfast in bed while her brother watched and then eagerly awaited her birthday party. We invited a few of her best friends and had a pool party. We swam, ate lunch, did a pirate treasure hunt, and ate cake and ice cream. As everyone was leaving Kate kept saying, "This is the best birthday party ever!"
I had a lot of fun preparing for this party! I saw these mermaid tail towels a long time ago and have wanted to attempt them ever since. Kate loved hers when I finished it and I was so excited to see the girls walking around with theirs on.
The boys had pirate towels with their initials on them but I didn't get a picture of them. Boy stuff is never as exciting as girls.
It was a fun day! Now on to birthday #2 tomorrow!....this is wearing me out!

those mermaid towels are amazing! What a darling party! I too want to see the pirate towels. I'm sure you made the amazing cakes too-- I want to see a better pic. of those too!
